PENINSULA DRIFTWOOD ARTISTS
were founded in 1969 in Sequim, Washington, by Elizabeth Swanson. Elizabeth had trained with Lucile Worlund in the LuRon Method and wanted to bring this art form to the people of the Olympic Peninsula.
PENINSULA DRIFTWOOD ARTISTS
meet on the first Wednesday of each
month at the Trinity Methodist Church on
Blake Avenue, in Sequim, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Everyone is invited to bring their own lunch -- coffee and tea are provided. We ask members and visitors to bring a project and share their expertise with other members and draw on the talents of our teachers.
Peninsula Driftwood Artists are exclusively devoted to using the LuRon Method, and have been since 1969.
Our Club has one Certified LuRon Driftwood Sculpture Teacher --Yolanda Proulx.
The purpose of the organization is to promote, create, and maintain interest in driftwood sculpture and exchange ideas, sharing the technique of Lucile Worlund.
